Looks like the headstock was the only real Charvel part. I had started to think the body looked like a mighty mite after you guys got me going on the shape. Wilkinson tuners obviously not original, no serial number on the plate, no papers, no g&l case, not even an original floyd rose. Off brand neck as well. Re: CHARVEL - Six Digit Serial Numbers. Serialnumber:281185 what model is ot,it has 2 jackson single coils and 1 umnb,a jackson floyd rose licensed tremolo: Yes, mine has a six digit number. As far as I know the 6 digit #'s were used on Japanese imports even though the neck plate says Fort Worth, Texas.

They are here to help. I have a Charvel electric guitar, that i assume is Model 5, but previous owner replace the jt6 tremolo with some cheap licensed floyd. Everything else on a guitar, pickups, tuners is made by jackson. The serial number is C 803826 and is written on the last fret of the guitar.
Can i identify that serial number on the internet and how? I never do this before. I am asking myself if the guitar is too old to even identify on the net?Even the most obscure thing can be found on the internetz, young Daniel-san.Post it, and we will provide the answer.
Well, it looks like Model 5 except for the tremolo and type of locking nut, but previous owner said that tremolo has been replaced. It's a neck through, jackson tuners, jackson pickups with mid boost pot control, so it's just like Model 5. I searched a little and found out that it's 1988 made. On headstock it says by jackson/charvel. Frets are in really good condition for near 30 years old guitar.

The tremolo will be replaced with Schaller in the near future. I'll post some pictures soon. The color is wine red.
